Bird Feet, Dawson City's favourite 'singer-drone-writer', is finally releasing their new album, Mercury, on April 29th at 1pm. The album explores the constantly changing landscape of the body and mind during chronic illness, as well as queer love, sex, and death.
Bio
Bird feet is a ‘singer drone-writer’ musical project by Kim Edgar, an award-winning interdisciplinary artist who resides on Tr’ondek Hwech’in territory in Dawson City, Yt. The project combines singing, lyricism, and synth to create minimalist, ritualistic songs that explore subjects such as death, chronic illness, the erotic, and other experiences of existing in threshold states.
They have performed at Wonderhorse in 2021 (Whitehorse, YT), Sappyfest in 2022 (Sackville, NB), and Keno City Music Festival 2022 and 2023 (Keno City, YT). Their debut album, Mercury, comes out April 29th, 2024.
